DESCRIPTION
As if plucked from a fairy tale, the Fatsia 'Spider's Web' is an enchanting houseplant native to Japan. Its leaves, a dazzling spectacle of deep green and white, mimic the intricate design of a spider's web, hence the name. This plant is a captivating blend of nature's beauty and whimsy, with leaves that can grow up to 16 inches wide, creating a striking visual contrast in any space. Reaching a mature height of 5 feet indoors and spreading up to 3 feet wide, the Fatsia 'Spider's Web' is not a plant that shies away from attention. Its broad, palmate leaves are veined with creamy white, which makes them appear as though they've been dusted with a light snowfall. This pattern is more prominent in younger leaves, fading to a more subtle hint as the foliage matures. The plant has a bushy growth habit, forming a dense mound of foliage that brings a touch of the tropical indoors. In an indoor setting, it serves as a statement piece, its large leaves creating a bold, dramatic effect. In an outdoor setting, it is a robust plant that can handle shade and is often used as a groundcover in shaded garden areas. The Fatsia 'Spider's Web' is a slow to moderate grower, taking its time to unfurl its web-patterned leaves. But once it gets going, it's a resilient and hardy plant that is relatively low-maintenance. In the fall, expect to see clusters of small, white, star-shaped flowers which are followed by black berries, adding another layer of interest to this already captivating plant. The 'Spider's Web' is a plant that truly lives up to its name, its striking leaves creating a mesmerizing pattern that is sure to turn heads. Whether you're a seasoned houseplant enthusiast or a beginner looking for a unique addition to your collection, the Fatsia 'Spider's Web' offers a rare combination of beauty and resilience that is sure to impress.
PLANT SIZING & APPEARANCE

Plant sizing is based on the diameter of the nursery pot (2", 2.5", 3", 4" etc), not the plant itself. Plants may be slightly larger or smaller than the pot they are grow in depending on availability or time of year. While we do our best to ship plants as similar to those pictured as possible, please keep in mind that all plants are unique from one to the next, and display color, shape, and growth variation based on current environment, time of year, and other contributing factors. Please note that we ship our plants as dry as possible in the fall and winter months to prevent root rot or freezing. They will plump back up after planting!
